Tim brings over 30 years of financial services expertise to the firm. He started his career as a commercial and investment banker where he worked with businesses to solve complex financial problems. Often these solutions involved coordinating financial, accounting, legal and business strategy expertise. Tim then used those skills to help The ServiceMaster Company with strategic financial planning and capital markets transactions. As a member of ServiceMaster’s 401k oversight committee, Tim became passionate about helping individuals and families prepare for their financial futures.

Since 2007, Tim has worked with high net worth families, helping them make wise financial choices. Tim finds great satisfaction helping clients connect their financial decisions to their personal and family values. He understands that good advice begins with building a relationship founded on trust. Tim loves helping clients succeed while growing friendships along the way.

Tim is a graduate of Wheaton College, where he earned his BA in economics and business, and of Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional.

Tim is also a Five Star award winner. Winners must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria that are associated with wealth managers who provide quality services to their clients. Candidates also undergo a thorough regulatory and complaint review.

Tim lives in Chicago with his wife, Becky, and is the proud father of two adult daughters, Katie and Amy, who live in the Chicago area. He is active in his church where he has presented financial workshops and mentored young couples.  In addition, Tim serves on the Board of One Collective and is also Past President of the DuPage County Estate Planning Council.

In his free time, Tim enjoys tennis and travel. Scottsdale is a favorite travel destination where he loves to explore new hiking trails.  Some of his favorite include Tom’s Thumb, Pinnacle Peak and Chapel/Broken Arrow Trail loop in Sedona.

Mike Kwon

Mike has over 30 years of multi-disciplinary experience in the financial services business.  He began doing personal fee based financial planning in 1986 by helping middle income and affluent  families with education planning for college, pre-retirement planning, addressing risk management issues and making the best use of company retirement plans. Mike completed the certified financial planner program.

Mike spent 18 years of his financial consulting career within the asset management and private banking industry. For over 12 years he provided investment guidance to middle market businesses in managing their corporate retirement plans (401k’s, Profit Sharing Plans). He helped coordinate discussions on non-qualified deferred compensation programs. He also consulted with municipalities, non-profits, pension boards, finance officers, and business owners on various institutional investment services. 

For the past eight years Mike has been sharing strategies to preserve wealth, offer portfolio management insight, and custom advice with affluent and high net worth families.  Mike has the ability to clearly communicate complex financial and tax related solutions.  He helps to integrate and leverage tools to meet the needs of high net worth and higher income clients. Mike works closely with his clients and is driven to do what’s right for them.  He strives to be an honest, authentic, loyal, driven partner. He enjoys making clients feel special with a personal touch.  

Mike has been married for over 30 years to Cathy, is the proud father of three daughters in their 20's, and resides in Huntley, Illinois.

Dale has been managing business operations and client service teams for more than 25 years and is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional. He began his career as an operations manager with the Allstate Insurance Company leading customer service and administrative operations that supported over 1.5 million Allstate customers. Since then he has held management positions in several different industries working with customers from the Fortune 100 to local small businesses. Dale spent more than 14 years with CNA, where he directed account management and client service operations for a Group Insurance business unit. Dale and his team successfully supported more than 850 employer clients.

Throughout his career, Dale has focused on building processes and teams that build long lasting customer relationships. He enjoys developing and managing systems that help organizations provide client service excellence.

Dale graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois with a BA in Philosophy and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he studied Finance and Marketing Management.  He lives in Chicago with his wife, Charlie and their two children Ben and Abbie, where he is active in a variety of church and community activities.  He serves on the Board of Directors of Cornerstone Children’s Learning Center and is helping to launch Art on Sedgwick, a nonprofit art center dedicated to building bridges between the diverse residents of Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood.

Nick Lovitsch

Nick is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois where he earned a B.S. in Agricultural and Consumer Economics-Financial Planning. Here, he learned a wide variety of wealth management strategies. He joins Steward Advisors with experience he gained as an intern at a wealth management firm in Schaumburg, IL. Nick helped the firm create and manage retirement plans, analyze portfolios, construct cash flow projections, and analyze stock positions and funds. He particularly enjoys helping individuals and families execute the strategies he has learned in order to reach their goals. 

Nick currently lives in Grayslake, IL with his family and two dogs, Larry and Phil, but plans to venture out into the city within the next year. He also grew up playing several sports which he still enjoys today. Good thing he lives in Chicago! Nick loves traveling and hanging out with his family and friends who are a very important part of his life. Nick also enjoys establishing new connections and building relationships.
